The "Visit Korea Year" is a campaign that started in 2010 and goes until the end of 2012, it is designed to introduce the elegance, flavors, and aromas of Korea to our visitors and will do so by hosting several regional and international events such as: the Korean Formula 1 Grand Prix in Yeongam, Jeollanam-do province, and the World Expo 2012 Yeosu Korea which will have a theme called the "Living Ocean & Coast".

Korea's Cultural Heritage conveys a genuine sentiment of simplicity and peacefulness. Visit the Hwaseong Fortress and Changdeokgung Palace, which had a great influence on the development of Korean architecture, urban planning, and landscaping and related arts for many centuries. The Royal Tombs of the Joseon Dynasty form a collection of 40 tombs scattered over 18 locations. They are built over five centuries, from 1408 to 1966. Jongmyo is the oldest and most authentic of the Confucian royal shrines to have been preserved. Gyeongju, capital of the Silla Kingdom for nearly one thousand years, preserves a significant and fascinating heritage. Known as the "Museum without Walls," it is the heart of Korean Buddhism. See the Gochang, Hwasun and Ganghwa sites, which contain the highest density and greatest variety of dolmens in Korea, and indeed of any country. Experience the Seokguram Grotto and Bulguksa Temple by the slopes of Mount T'oham and discover a monumental eighth-century statue of Buddha looking at the sea, surrounded by portrayals of gods, Bodhisattvas and disciples. Visit the Temple of Haeinsa, on Mount Kaya, which is home to the Tripitaka Koreana, the most complete collection of Buddhist texts, engraved on 80,000 woodblocks, and Hahoe and Yangdong, which are seen as the two most representative historic clan villages in Korea.

Gourmet enthusiasts will enjoy the famous Korean cuisine from traditional kimchi, the most well known Korean food to Bulgogi, the "Korean barbecue", from Sinsollo, a delicious mixture of meat, fish, vegetables, and bean curd to Hanjeongshik, the "full course Korean meal", from Sollong T'ang, a rich beef noodle soup to Husik, a famous desert, one is assured to find his/her favorite.
